San Diego Yacht Club is proud to host the 2020 Puerto Vallarta Race, featuring the 1,000nm course from San Diego to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Racing to the Mexican mainland is a tradition for SDYC going back to 1953. Registration is open and the Notice of Race is posted.

The Course

The approximate rhumb-line course distance is 1050 nautical miles.
The course will start in San Diego, California and finish in Punta Mita, Nayarit, Mexico.

The Destination
Boats will finish on the approach to Punta Mita,
and will be welcomed to Mexico in Marina Vallarta.

The Trophies
Trophies will be awarded for First Elapsed Time, First Corrected Time, along with top class performers. A variety of special recognition trophies will also be awarded.

The Parties
San Diego Yacht Club will host the Kick Off Fiesta on March 5th, followed by a beautiful trophy ceremony and party in Puerto Vallarta.
