The following paperwork is needed with your gear:
Copy of boat owner’s and delivery captain’s passport
Copy of current boat registration or documentation
Letter of authorization (see example)
Inventory of items being shipped. We are going into a foreign country, so each box must have a detailed list of the contents. This includes crew bags.
Cost will be $2.50 per pound and a $100.00 import-processing fee. Payment is due when gear is collected and can be cash or check made payable to Laura Neale.
The gear exchange will be February 26, 2016 in the Opequimar Boatyard next to Marina Vallarta. We will have a boat available to deliver your gear. Someone must claim the gear at the boatyard. We will be staying through MEXORC, so we can store your gear until after the regatta. Gear exchange, after MEXORC, will be March 6, 2016.
Sails returning with us will be on a first come first serve basis. The fee for returning sails is $25.00, $50.00 or $100.00 per sail, depending on size. 1 sail per bag.
We will have the returning gear, in San Diego, after March 11, 2016.
